Come join us in celebrating the official opening of this our 4TH ANNUAL WARRNAMBOOL STORYTELLING FESTIVAL and find out more about all the exciting events and fascinating stories we have on offer this year.
As a special feature for the launch event, the Warrnambool Symphony Orchestra will perform ‘Rumpelstiltskin’ for only its third public performance. Suitable for all ages, this German fairy tale, collected by the Brothers Grimm, is narrated to music written especially for this Orchestra by Stefan Cassomenos, highly acclaimed concert pianist, composer and co-director with Monica Curro of the Port Fairy Spring Music Festival.

Winter Wool Weekend

Stories of wool, its origins and uses over time. Enjoy a hot drink or hearty mug of house made soup while watching demonstrations of traditional wool fibre practices and crafts including blade shearing, fleece preparation, yarn spinning and knitting, plus special demonstrations of felting and dyeing and interactive touch and feel activities.
