Write On

  • Mozart Hall 2 Gilles Street Warrnambool, VIC, 3280 Australia (map)

Writers, take note. Warrnambool Storytelling Festival presents Write On, an entertaining and informative evening featuring a panel of guest speakers, each providing a different perspective and sharing individual experiences on a writing topic of interest.

Insights will be gleaned, ideas will germinate, and connections will be made, both throughout the discussion on stage and in the hour following, where guests are invited to enjoy supper while networking with each other and chatting directly with our panelists.

Join us for an engaging and relaxed panel discussion celebrating the art of short-form, non-fiction storytelling.

From research writing to blogging, and memoir to journalism, this session explores how real stories are shaped, shared and brought to life. Our panel of writers and thinkers will chat about their own pathways into non-fiction, how curiosity drives their work, and why recording observation, understanding and response matters — especially in regional communities.

This special evening is perfect for readers and writers alike to consider how truth and experience fuel creativity.

Tea, coffee and a supper of shared grazing boards included.
