The Line-Up

Penny Royal
Traditionally, the herb called Penny Royal was scattered by sailors around the decks of ships to calm stormy seas, placed in shoes to prevent weariness, and used for strength, peace and protection. This musical trio by the same name (consisting of John Hickey, Jo Ulrich and Don Cowling) doesn't want to be stuck in your shoes, but does offer a bit of calm, easy listening and smooth sailing.

Don Cowling
A multi-award-winning singer-songwriter and guitarist with an affinity for the ocean, Don has released four solo albums from his coastal home of Warrnambool.

Victor Reid
Born inland, ten days hard march from any honest shore, Victor passed his youth without so much as a glimpse of the sea’s heaving breast, nor did he lay hand upon a ukulele until his sixteenth year, yet now he brandishes that humble instrument as though summoned by some salt‑stained destiny. His performances have become known for bold musical beginnings, confusing plots and endings that seem to be entirely negotiable. The audience is advised to brace themselves for an experience that is equal parts ambition, chaos, and accidental innovation.

Tommy Harrold
After beginning playing piano at age four and starting formal lessons at five, Tommy Harrold began composing pop/rock music at the age of thirteen. Classically and jazz trained, and with influences from Elton John, Queen, and Rachmaninoff, his music flourished, leading to a deal with Blackburn Entertainment and performances everywhere from shoreside gigs to cruise ships.

Russ Goodear Trio
Singer, songwriter and guitarist Russ Goodear is joined by singer Crystal Cumming and pianist Tim Free, creating waves with the performance of folk-blues originals.
